Here are a couple of cards I made today using a Me to You bumper pack I bought from my local craft shop- it was about £12 and there is so much in there so very good value for money.

My mojo has returned (sort of!)
I have had absolutely no motivation for cardmaking recently as I've been suffering a lot of pain with my gallstones and am STILL waiting on an appointment with the surgeon grrrrr.
Anyway I woke up this morning and really had the urge to create so here are the cards I made: The first one is using a Dreamweaver stencil, embossing paste and lots of sparkle, the second I made using the new Craftwork Cards collection which is totally lush and the last 2 are made using Marrianne D dies- I can't decide which one I like best lol.
Hope you like :)

Music Saves My Soul Saturday :)
Well yet again I haven't posted for a bit! I've made lots of cards, unfortunately my camera is suffering from PMT and doesn't want to behave at the moment so I can't take any pics :(
I'm really disappointed as I ordered some Kanban kits when they were on QVC 3x easy pay and free p&p- 7 to be exact :-o including 2 gorgeous stamp kits and I've made some gorgeous cards with the Christmas set. Plus I am no longer a Humphrey virgin- I officially have my first Humphrey stamp and I LOVE it! Its soooo easy to color and is so sweet- will definitely be ordering some more .
Anyway, music saves my soul Saturday- I have very eclectic tastes in music- from rock to reggae to cheesy 70s/80s pop to grime- I'm sure you get the picture!
I am a rock chick at heart though so in future weeks you will probably see lots of rock postings on a Saturday, but not today.
I have chosen Thank You by Jamelia as it is one song where I listen to the words and they actually apply to me. For those who don't know me I was in a relationship that was very abusive & in January 2009 I finally had the courage to take our baby son and go into a refuge. That was the start of the rest of my life- we settled in a new area, made new friends, I got a job and my little boy went to nursery- 2 1/2 years later I am positive it was the best decision I ever made, for myself and my son. Jamelia says exactly what I would like to say to my ex- I am a stronger person now and its because of him.
Anyway, christ I've written a novel, sorry! On with the song :

I love my Speccies!!
Unless you've been living in a non-crafty bubble these past few weeks I'm sure you will have heard mention of the latest marker pens on the block- Spectrum Noirs which are made by Crafter's Companion. I have been playing with them on & off all week and I'll post a few samples after the card;
Its an Elzybells Sunday today!
Its an Elzybells Sunday today!
I am so gutted that Elzybells has closed as I have far too few of their stamps so I have to content myself with grabbing them on Ebay as and when they appear! The papers are by Pink Petticoat & I colored the image with my Speccies.
Can you tell I love the turquoise lol
Till next time :)
It's candy time!
The lovely Marianne has a mega candy giveaway to celebrate reaching 1000 followers- bit of a difference to my 22! She has some beautiful cards on her blog so go and have a look.
Here is a peek at the candy she is giving away :)

Music Saves My Soul Saturday :)
Well I haven't made any cards this week as I've been really busy at work, but I've been playing lots with my new Spectrum Noir pens and I have to say that I'm really impressed with them- they work really well with my Promarkers too which is a bonus as all of the 24 packs of Speccies are sold out at the moment!
Anyway in the absence of a card, I am posting a link to one of my favorite songs- it might be a bit emo for some people but I guess deep down I'm a bit of an emo chick!
I don't just listen to depressing music- promise!

Late night crafting :)
Its 1.15am, I'm up in 5 hours and what am I doing? Blogging!! Why is it that when you have to get up for work you can't sleep but when its the weekend you're asleep by 10pm??? After tossing and turning for what felt like hours I decided to get up and do a bit of crafting- that was at 11.30 (oops!).
This is what I made:
Isn't she gorgeous? I bought her ages ago from Kenny K- if you haven't seen his digi's yet you're missing a treat- his designs are so fun. Papers are from a DCWV stack, Garden Party I think? I colored the image with Promarkers and added a doily die cut and some flowers.
Right, I am off back to bed to see if I can sleep (again)
Night all xx

A new technique!
I know I know, no posts for months then 2 come along at once! I just had to show this card because I'm so pleased with the results!
I was just having a play around with some inks and thought ooooo I could make a scene using some old makeup sponges......so I did! Don't get me wrong its not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I've never tried anything like this before so I was really happy with the result for a first attempt! I went around the edge with a fineliner like I've seen Barbara Grey do on C&C- luckily the wiggle affect looks good as I can't draw a straight line.

A couple of cards to show.....
Good Morning all and happy Sunday :). Looks like the sun has finally decided to come out and play but shushhhh let's not scare it away!
I haven't blogged for months, mainly because I haven't made many cards for ages- I went back to work in February and I just don't have as much time as I used to.
Anyway, I made these last night:
I am really proud of this one- I just look at it and think oooooo I love it! The image is Lili of the Valley- its one of the free coloring images from Papercraft Inspirations. They don't color with Promarkers very well as its the wrong sort of card, but work well with my koh-i-noors and blending stumps. I colored the edge with some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain and an old make up sponge. The papers are from a free stack by Serif called Picnic in the Park which were in Simply Cards & Papercraft aaaaages ago- they all have an aged/distressed look to them- totally lush!I framed the image with my circle Nestabilities and then cut a doily and a swirl from papers from the same stack- the dies are Marianne's and I LOVE them! I've come into the whole doily/swirl trend quite late so I'm making up for lost time! I stamped a butterfly on acetate and then covered it with Glossy Accents and Doodlebug glitter then added some corner peel offs and pearls to finish off. Looking at my shopping list it was a pretty frugal card really as lots of the ingredients were freebies :D.
I'm not really up on challenges at the moment but I do know that Little Claire's current challenge is 'Things with Wings' so I'm entering this card in that one :).
Onto the second card that I made yesterday:
I love this stamp- its by Sugar Nellie and if he was holding a cat it would look just like my son with our kitten. I stamped and colored with Promarkers and then went round the edge with distress inks. The paper is by Cloud 9 and I ripped and distressed the matt and then glittered it. I also ran the 2 bottom pieces through my Cuttlebug and then sanded over the top of them. I added some paper flowers and a couple of peel off corners- I do think it needs something else but I haven't decided what yet!
Thanks for looking :)

Long time no blog.....
Wow, its been a really long time since I've blogged isn't it! Computer (or mainly connection) issues are still plaguing me, but on the plus side it has given me more time to craft as I'm not on the internet so much!
I made a card for a friend of mine the other day- just a 'hello' type card that I thought she would like. I was really good, put it in my handbag to get a stamp and post etc etc and guess what....its still there! Smacked hand for me- good job its not a birthday card or anything!
Even though I haven't sent it yet I know she will love it (who doesn't love hunky men?).
Its a really simple card, image came from google images and was colored with promarkers and I have used some shimmer cardstock for the background and mirri card for the mat. Added some black gems and that was me done- I did think about making a sentiment but I really wanted to do a circle type one but have no clue how to make one in word!
Anyway, hope you like the card- will add a few more later :)
