Over at Passion for Promarkers :)
I haven't used my good old PM's for a while and I really enjoyed coloring with them again. When I first saw the challenge I thought oh my gawd I can't do a totally white background, but then I played with a couple of embossing folders and it wasn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be.
Here is my offering:
Wow, its taken me 2 days to be able to load this picture on here- Blogger what's going on??????
This little beauty was drawn by the wonderful Krista Smith of Saturated Canary- I discovered her digis via another blog a while back and I am seriously hooked- my aim is to own all of them hehe. I colored her with my Promarkers and used just little dabs of glitter in certain bits to bring it out slightly.
The backing paper is actually Centura Pearl card (love this stuff!) and I embossed it with 2 different Cuttlebug folders- a swirly one and a script one, the heart is a Marrianne die and I just added some ribbon (Joanna Sheen) and some bling (not a clue!). I sat and stared at it for ages thinking that it needed something else but now I've had a couple of days to think about it I've decided that its lovely as it is- my first white on white card and I'm actually very proud of it :)
Right, challenges....... I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Passion for Promarkers where the theme is 'white on white'
I love Promarkers the theme over here is also 'white on white'
Cardmad Fairy - Use die cuts or punches
Sweet Stampin - Dies & doodles- I have used a die and the swirly embossing folder kinda looks like a doodle right?
The Crafty Pad - Die-delicious
I think that's it (well its certainly enough!). I'll hopefully be back later as I have another card to upload
xx

A busy bank holiday!
Evening peeps :)
Well I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend- this past week I just haven't stopped. My little boy has been on Easter break from nursery so we've been going to his friends so they can play together, he's also had 2 birthday parties in the past 4 days, the second of which was this afternoon so I'm now shattered lol.
This is the birthday card I made for his little friend who's party we were at today:
I am really sorry about the rubbish photos- my blackberry had the cheek to fall in the mop bucket yesterday so its currently drying out in a bag of rice so I had to use my camera which has issues (for want of a better word!). I don't know why the photos have those wavy lines on them- at first I thought it might have been Connor's dirty fingerprints on the lens but I've cleaned it and they're still there so I'm flummoxed. If anyone has any bright ideas I'd love to hear them!
Anyway back to the card itself- the image is from the wonderful digi site that is Tiddly Inks. I only discovered it very recently and OMG I'm in love. This little character is called Wryn, isn't she gorgeous? I've bought several, ok 9, digis from there in the past couple of days and I can't stop coloring the images just for the sake of it! I've colored her with my Spectrum Noirs onto Neenah card. The papers are by Pink Petticoat (another fave digi store of mine) and I've mounted them onto kraft card which I edged in some pink ink. A few Marianne butterfly die-cuts, some pearls and gems and that was it. It doesn't look like much but it took me aaaages to make, mainly because my son kept interrupting me asking if it was time to go to the party yet!
Hope you like :)

Music Saves My Soul Saturday....
Just a quick post today- I haven't made any cards this week sadly as I've been manic with other things including dealing with a 4 year old with an ear infection (not fun).
I chose this song not because I like it but because its my little boys favorite song- he calls it the money song and I've put it on my phone for him so he's constantly asking to listen to it! I do like it but its been fast losing appeal recently!
Laters 'taters

Music Saves My Soul Sunday
I'm a day late!
Haven't had any time to craft this week as I've had other stuff to deal with which has left me pooped but am hoping to get some time in the next few days as my fingers are starting to get itchy (either means I miss crafting or I have dermatitis lmao)
This is my choice for this weeks MSMSS:
My favorite Amy Winehouse song- she was such a talented lady and its a tragedy that she left us when she did, I think she had so much more to give. We have lost so many wonderful talents over the past few years and Amy was definitely one of them.
Enjoy

Music Saves My Soul Saturday....
Woah how can it be Saturday already- this week has just flown!
No card today (been busy doing the dreaded housework and dealing with a problem friend) but I had 5 minutes to post a song..... WARNING: explicit lyrics (just letting ya know)
I know I know- from rock to rap- nobody can't say I don't have a wide taste in music!!
This is an oldie but a goodie- the video was shot on the estate I used to live on. I may live in Hertfordshire now but I'm a Hackney gal born & bred. Those of you who know me personally will know I moved here 3 years ago with my son to get away from an abusive relationship. To say that relocating was hard would be an understatement- I missed (and still do miss) my friends and moving from an inner London borough to a semi rural town was a real culture shock. I was used to being able to go out & get cigarettes at midnight if I wanted to, dirty kebabs at 2am etc etc- you're lucky if you can find a shop open past 10pm round here. Still, life changes and I have my gorgeous boy and a roof over our heads- I can't really complain can I.
For those of you who choose to watch the video- enjoy :)
Thanks for reading

Mother's Day is upon us.....
And I've had my first EVER commission for a Mother's Day card :D.
I don't sell my cards to be honest- I don't really think they're good enough. I used to sell them years ago but then life changed, situations changed and my general confidence took a nose dive. Maybe this is the start of it coming back again?
I showed the card I made a few posts down (the 'I want to wear pink' one) to my neighbor to get her opinion and her friend asked if I would make a card for her mum- my instructions were to use a photo (that I had to nick off her Facebook) and that she wanted it fairly simple. As the photo was black & white I thought to keep it simple I would go with black, white & silver. The first pic I printed (onto normal card) was pretty grainy but I was able to use a damaged 8x8 card to put a mock up together which I then showed her- she was so happy I thought she was gonna pick me up and swing me round LOL.
After I explained that the card she was holding was only a rough version I came home and made the proper one and this is the result:
I really must pick up a new camera soon as using my phone is driving me nuts!
Right, need to take little one off to nursery - woohooo peace & quiet :)
Catch ya later peeps
